And Last But Not Least -- My first Knitting Project

Well I finally did it. I finished my first gift for someone. It took me long enough and I had to have some help from our local expert Emma. Thank you for your help!! I am starting on the burp cloth now but I have started twice and cannot seem to get it right. I will have to get some help to get started. While I wait though I am working on a messenger bag.

More Snow Pics --

My first post would not let me attach the pictures of the dogs so here they are. The Schnauzer is my baby Madison and the big dumb one is Noodles. They both hate the cold and will not stay out for more than a couple of minutes.

Jacks First Snow

Well today Jack got to see his first real snow. Tonight we took him outside to see it and he thought it was pretty funny. We will go out again tomorrow and see what he thinks.

Sarah and Daddy went back and did a little exploring in the
snow as well. Not much to see since it is snowing so hard. She
will get to play alot tomorrow since there is no school again.

Aprils Pictures

A friend of mine that is in photography school came by the other night and took some pictures of the kids for an assignment. I thought they turned out great so I had to post them for all to see.
It was alot of fun but very nerve racking. Sarah is always so easy. She will do whatever you tell her. Jack on the other hand always has to be moving so it is like trying to hit a target that is going 100 mph. I was suprised that she got one this good out of him. Hopefully, as he gets older he will be a little easier -- for her and all those other photographers out there including myself!

Break Out the Christmas Music!!

Here we go. My first non child related post!! What a concept! My husband and I went to the Jim Brickman concert last night and it was fabulous. It was so relaxing to just sit and listen. He had 3 guests with him, Jake Simpson, Victoria Shaw and David Klinkenberg -a violinist. They were all such a wonderful mix and sounded great. Unfortunately we could not take pictures in the theatre so the pictures I have attached are the best that I can do. This is the program that we received resting on my great grandmothers piano. I have always wanted to learn how to play and need to make more of an effort to try my hand at it. I hope my daughter will be interested and we can start her on lessons next year. I tried today to go pick up his new Christmas CD at Target but they were sold out. I will have to try again soon. I can't wait. I will be pulling out all of my christmas music tomorrow!!

We also had family visiting this week which was really nice but I think we are all exhausted. We had so many activities going on all week. We went to Philbrook Museum for the Festival of Trees which was more like a Festival of Gingerbread houses that were adorable. I think they only had about 10-15 trees. We also did alot of shopping, alot of catching up, football watching and not enough sleep! Erics sister, her husband and the kids came as well as Erics cousin Kelly. It was great to have a house full but sure was not fun to fight over the chairs!! We all watched the OU game today -- on the edge of our seats. Boy that was a nail biter all the way to the end.

I also am almost finished with one of my first knitting projects that is a gift. Emma had to help me figure out what was wrong with the pattern today but I think we got it. I only have a little bit left and hope to finish it this week!! I will post a picture when I am done.

Bye Bye Leaves.......

Much to my dismay my husband decided it was time to get rid of all of the Fall Leaves that had PILED up in our yard. I just love walking thorough them and seeing them fall. So of course I had to take some pictures of the kids. Here is my favorite one of them together...

And Sarah had a blast running and jumping into them. Here are a couple of her on her travels.

And here are a couple of Jack. He did not like the leaves at all. So we did not get very many smiles out of him!

My Favorite Time of Year is upon us......

We went tonight to take the kids pictures at Montag. I think they are going to turn out well. Jack would only smile twice and then he was ready to get down!
When we got home I tried to take some pictures but he was just not feeling very cooperative.

Then I got a couple of each of them individually that turned out pretty good.

And then of course, being just like her Daddy, Sarah had to take the token silly picture.....

That is all for now. If we have a semi nice day this weekend we will go outside and take some. Those should turn out well because Jack loves being outside and you can always get a smile out of him!!

Florida On My Mind

Just testing Blog This through Picasa. This makes things much easier!! If you don't use Picasa it is an editing and publishing program for your photos through google and it is free!! It is alot of fun to use.
This is a picture of my kids on the beach this past July in Seagrove Beach, Florida. I love that Sarah is giggling as she is trying to hold Jack still. They were so cute.

JakJak Turns 1

We had Jacks first birthday party yesterday!! It was great except that the cake place made a cake that so did not match his theme but oh well he still had a good time. He has a little cold so he was a little clingy. It was wonderful to have all of our family and friends join us for the big day. I love the picture of Jack and Sarah together. He just loves his big sister so much. He got some wonderful gifts to put in his treasure chest for when he turns 16. I love that idea so if anyone is coming up on a first birthday for a little one think about this as a great keepsake. Thank you to everyone that joined us!!

Sunday Drive

Last Sunday we decided to take a long drive and look at some of the scenery around our great state. We went up to the Sapulpa-Sand Springs area and ended up around Lake Sahoma/Pretty Water. It was beautiful and such a peaceful drive. The kids took a little nap on our drive and Sarah drew us some really cute pictures. She had fun taking some pictures while we were out too.

At the Pumpkin Patch

I have a few things to post today to catch up!! First off here are my favorite pictures of the kids at the pumpkin patch! They had a good time. Although the price of pumpkins is insane this time of year so we only got some small pumkins to put in the front hall of the house!

Ok Emma you talked me into it. Here is my BLOG!! I will start with pictures from our first halloween pictures with a family of 4. Sarah was a Midnight Fairy which was more about getting to use makeup than anything else and Jack was Flash which excited his dad to no end!! These are from the Boo Ha Ha parade which was a little disappointing this year but maybe next year it will get better!
